At Traeger Brothers and Associates, we are actively involved in the current and what we know will be ongoing efforts to provide immediate supplies as well as long-term construction and rebuilding needs to the Caribbean. As a family business, we want to reach out to as many people as possible to bring much-needed supplies and equipment to those trying to recover from this last round of storms.
The owner of our company, Howard Traeger, considers the people of the Caribbean as family. The people living in these areas should have the full support of people in the U.S, just like the U.S. supports those people devastated by Hurricane Irma in Florida or by Hurricane Harvey that destroyed parts of the Texas coast.
Remember, these areas were not just hit by one major storm but by two. The islands spared by Hurricane Irma were later devastated by Hurricane Maria, which has only increased the challenges for the people struggling to find food, water, and shelter in this previous tropical paradise.
Help Us Help the Caribbean
While Traeger Brothers and Associates is an American-owned business, we have been providing building materials and supplies to the Caribbean since 1924. We are a part of the community, and we are actively involved in helping to collect basic supplies to ship to the Caribbean.
We are collecting items at our warehouse that are destined for the British Virgin Islands, Barbuda, Anguilla and St. Maarten as well as Dominica and the US Virgin Islands.
Right now, the most needed items include:
- Non-perishable food
- Bottled water and sports drinks
- Baby formula and diapers
- Personal hygiene products and kits
- Insect repellant
- Portable radios (AM/FM)
- Trash bags
- Tents and tarps
- First aid kits
