An ocean bill of lading is a legal document between the shipper of particular materials and the carrier detailing the type, quantity and destination of the materials being carried. The bill of lading also serves as a receipt of shipment when delivered to the predetermined destination.

This form helps the driver & the DOT determine the name, class, quantity, weight and also has the name and number of the emergency response company in the case of an emergency. This document is accompanied with copy of the MSDS and the IMO if available.
