We’re elevating a classic side dish and infusing it with our signature wood-fired flavor. This BBQ baked beans recipe is simple to make, and features smoky bacon, fresh onions, and bell pepper.

1 Poundbeicon, picado
1 cebolla amarilla, en cubos

2 Tablespoonmostaza seca
1 Tablespoonpimienta negra
1/2 Tablespoonsal kosher
1/2 TablespoonAjo en Polvo
1/2 Tablespooncebolla en polvo

  • Step 1

    Place bacon in a cold sauté pan over medium heat. Cook until bacon is crispy and the fat is rendered. Strain fat from bacon, reserving 2 tablespoons of bacon fat, and set bacon aside.

  • Step 2

    Place reserved fat back into the pan, add onion and pepper. Sauté for 5 to 10 minutes until onions are translucent and peppers are tender. Remove from heat and set aside.

  • Step 3

    When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 350℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

  • Step 4

    In a 9x13 inch casserole dish, combine beans, cooked bacon, onions and peppers, and all remaining ingredients. Stir well to combine.

    • 4 Can frijoles y cerdo

    • 1 Cup Kétchup

    • 2 Tablespoon mostaza seca

    • 1 Tablespoon pimienta negra

    • 1/2 Tablespoon sal kosher

    • 1/2 Tablespoon Ajo en Polvo

    • 1/2 Tablespoon cebolla en polvo

  • Step 5

    Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and place directly on the grill grate. Cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened and darkened in color a little.

  • Step 6

    Remove from the grill and let rest for 15 to 20 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
