Grilled Double Burgers with Texas Spicy BBQ Sauce

  • 4 TablespoonTraeger Beef Rub
  • 1/2 Poundbacon
  • 8 Slicescheddar cheese
  • 4 Wholehamburger buns
  • 1 CupTraeger Texas Spicy BBQ Sauce
  • 1 As NeededPickle, slices

Step

  • Step 1

    Form ground beef into eight 1/3 lb patties. Season each patty on both sides with Traeger Beef rub.

    Ingredients
    • 3 Pound ground beef

    • 4 Tablespoon Traeger Beef Rub

  • Step 2

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger to 350℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

  • Step 3

    For the Bacon: Place bacon slices directly on grill grate and cook for 15-20 minutes or until crispy.

    • 1/2 Pound bacon

  • Step 4

    Increase the grill temperature to High and preheat.

  • Step 5

    Place burger patties directly on grill grate and cook for 4 minutes on each side or to desired doneness.

  • Step 6

    Top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and cook, lid closed, until cheese melts.

    • 8 Slices cheddar cheese

  • Step 7

    To serve, top each bottom bun with Texas Spicy BBQ sauce, pickles, patty, and repeat with BBQ sauce, pickles, patty, sauce and pile with bacon. Top with top bun. Enjoy!
