This first-rate fish gets a quick soak in sesame oil, soy sauce, and spicy red pepper flakes to start, then basks in hardwood smoke, supercharging the marinade. Grill it up right and throw it on a bun with brown sugared pineapple and creamy avocado for a macho meal, grilled for the gods.

2 Whole | Tuna Filet, 8 oz each, sushi grade |
To Taste | pineapple |
To Taste | brown sugar |
12 Whole | Buns, Slider |
2 Tablespoon | mayonnaise |
As Needed | lettuce |
As Needed | Avocado, Sliced |
Step 1
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, soy sauce, pepper flakes, garlic, and onion powder. Pour the mixture over the tuna filets, and refrigerate.

2 Whole Tuna Filet, 8 oz each, sushi grade
Step 2
When ready to cook, set temp to High (450F) and preheat, lid closed (10 to 15 minutes).
Step 3
To sear, place the filets on the front edge of the grill until there are grill marks, then flip and move to the center and cook 3-5 more minutes. Dont overcook it! Tuna is best when it is medium rare, to medium.
Step 4
While the tuna is cooking, sprinkle the pineapple with brown sugar and grill towards the front of the grill until you see grill marks.

Remove the fish and pineapple; build the burger as follows: bottom bun, mayo, lettuce, tuna, grilled pineapple, avocado, and top bun. Enjoy!
