An auger motor pin in is a nut and bolt with a few threads at the top and a long shoulder that secures the auger in place inside the auger shaft. Older models have a quick release (QR) pin rather than a traditional nut and bolt. Historically, Traeger has called the auger motor pin a shear pin.
What does an auger motor pin look like?
The auger motor pin is located behind the auger motor before the auger bushing. See the photo below for reference.
If the auger motor pin is missing, it likely came loose in shipping and can be found inside the grill. If you can locate it rather than replace it, you will not have to wait for the replacement.
