Lid Gap

The lid of your grill should sit flush with the barrel. Anything less than a 1/4 inch (0.63 cm) is normal and nothing to worry about.

What to do if there is a lid gap on a grill:

  • Adjust the hinges on the lid by loosening the hinge screws.
  • Inspect the hinges, lid, barrel, and the grill grates for any damage that might prevent the lid from closing entirely.
  • If there is still a gap larger than a quarter of an inch, please contact Customer Service .
