Warranty FAQs

Who owns my warranty?

Traeger owns the warranty on our grills purchased from Traeger.com and from authorized Traeger dealers.

What warranty does my grill have?

Traeger has different warranty coverage that is determined on your grill type and manufacture date. You can find the terms and conditions of these warranties on our Warranty Page.

Grills manufactured October 2021 or before hold our 3-year warranty, while grills manufactured after October 2021 hold our 7- or 10-year limited warranty.

    • EX: TFB65LZB-2104-VW-024806. This date code tells us the grill was manufactured April (04) of 2021 (21).

Do Traeger accessories have a warranty?

Traeger accessories come with a 1-year warranty. This coverage applies to accessories used under normal use and proper maintenance. This warranty gives the customer specific legal rights, and they may have other rights which may vary among states and provinces.

When does my warranty coverage begin?

Traeger's warranty begins on the date of purchase.

What scenarios aren't covered by warranty?

  • Acts of God

  • Damage caused by grill fires

  • Refunds

  • Rust

  • Shipping costs

  • Theft

  • Warped heat baffles & drip trays

  • Work done by Service Technicians

What scenarios will void my warranty?

  • Commercial use of non-commercial grills
  • Unapproved modifications of any kind
  • After-market or third-party controllers, including changing any code or installing unauthorized firmware on any grill controller
  • Parts purchased outside of Traeger or its authorized dealers
    • The only parts purchased outside of Traeger or its dealers that will NOT void the warranty are fasteners, such as screws, bolts, nuts, washers, etc. Any other parts (e.g. controllers, sawhorse legs, auger screw, etc.) will void any existing warranty.
  • Temperature modifications
  • Use beyond what the grill is intended for (See Commercial Grills below)
  • Second-hand/used grills
    • If you are not the original purchaser or recipient, the warranty is no longer valid
