BBQ Bacon-Wrapped Water Chestnuts

This savory and crunchy bacon-wrapped finger food will be a big hit at any party.

  • 1 Pound bacon, sliced

  • 2 (8 oz) cans whole water chestnuts, drained

  • 1/3 Cup mayonnaise

  • 1/3 Cup Brown sugar

  • 1/3 Cup Traeger Texas Spicy BBQ Sauce

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 350°F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

    Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.

    Cut each piece of bacon into thirds or halves. Wrap each water chestnut with a piece of bacon large enough to encircle it and secure the bacon with a toothpick. Place the bacon-wrapped chestnuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

    Place the baking sheet directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and bake for 20 minutes.

    Make the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, brown sugar, and Traeger BBQ sauce until combined.

    • 1/3 Cup Brown sugar

    • 1/3 Cup Traeger Texas Spicy BBQ Sauce

    Pour the sauce over the chestnuts. Close the lid and cook until the bacon is crisp and cooked through, and sauce has set, 10-15 minutes.

    Remove the bacon-wrapped chestnuts from the grill, and serve warm. Enjoy!
