Don’t let the simplicity of one of our most famous recipes fool you. This bad bird packs a powerful, flavorful punch. Simply coat a whole chicken with Traeger’s Chicken Rub and cook for just over an hour. That’s all you’ll need to do for chicken perfection.

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 375℉ and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

    Pat the chicken dry with paper towels (remove and discard giblets, if any). Lightly season the entire chicken, including the cavity, with Traeger Chicken Rub.

    Insert the probe into the thickest part of the breast. Place the chicken directly on the grill grates, breast-side up. Close the lid and cook until the internal temperature reaches 160℉, about 70 minutes, depending on the size of the chicken.

    Remove the chicken from grill and let rest until internal temperature reaches 165℉, 15-20 minutes. Carve the chicken, then serve. Enjoy!
