This recipe serves:

Units of Measurement:
1 1/2 Cup powdered sugar
1/4 Cup maple syrup
2 Teaspoon maple flavoring (optional)
2 Tablespoon heavy cream
8 Strips bacon
12 Whole Glazed Yeast Doughnuts

  • 1

When ready to cook, set Traeger temperature to 450°F and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes.

    450 ˚F / 232 ˚C

  • 2

In a medium saucepan, combine powdered sugar, syrup and maple flavoring. Cook on the stovetop at medium-high until the mixture comes to a slow boil.

  • 3

Cook, stirring often, for 3 to 5 minutes. Turn the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Add more powdered sugar or cream as needed to reach your desired texture. (Add more powdered sugar if you want a frosting-like topping, or more cream if you want a glaze-like topping).

  • 4

Lay the bacon strips directly on the grill grate. Grill for 5 to 7 minutes per side (until crisp). Remove to a plate and crumble or chop when cool.

    450 ˚F / 232 ˚C

  • 5

Place the doughnuts directly on the grill grate (don't clean the grate after cooking your bacon, the grease on the grill grate will help keep the donuts from sticking).

  • 6

Grill donuts for 3 to 5 minutes per side, until the glaze is bubbly and there are grill marks on the donuts.

    450 ˚F / 232 ˚C

  • 7

Transfer your hot donuts to a serving platter.

  • 8

Pour the glaze directly on top. Sprinkle with the crumbled bacon and serve immediately. Enjoy!
