Smoky Scotch & Ginger Cocktail

This cocktail is wrapped in wood-fired smoke. Brandied cherry juice, ginger and agave syrup are smoked and shaken together with scotch for a rich and aromatic drink.

Smoked Ginger Cherry Syrup

  • 1 Ounce ginger syrup

  • 1/2 Ounce brandied cherry juice

  • 1/2 Ounce agave nectar

  • 4 Ounce scotch

  • 1 1/2 Ounce lemon juice

  • 2 grilled lemon slice, for garnish

  • 2 Whole cherry, for garnish

    When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 180℉ and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes. For optimal flavor, use Super Smoke if available.

    For the smoked ginger cherry syrup: Place ginger syrup, cherry juice and agave nectar in a shallow dish and place the dish directly on the grill grate.

    • 1 Ounce ginger syrup

    • 1/2 Ounce brandied cherry juice

    • 1/2 Ounce agave nectar

    Smoke for 60 minutes, or until the mixture has picked up the smoke flavor. Remove from grill and allow to cool for 30 minutes.

    Place smoked ginger cherry syrup, scotch and lemon juice into a shaker tin and shake with ice. Strain into a glass over fresh ice and garnish with a grilled lemon wheel and cherry. Enjoy!
