    When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 180℉ and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.

    Pat the drumsticks dry with a paper towel and season generously with salt and pepper.

    Ingredients
    • 8  chicken drumsticks

    • To Taste kosher salt

    • To Taste Freshly ground black pepper

    Arrange the drumsticks directly on the grill grates. Insert the probe into the thickest part of a drumstick, avoiding the bone. Close the lid and smoke for 30 minutes.

    Increase the Traeger temperature to 350℉ and continue cooking the drumsticks for another 30 minutes.

    Brush the Texas Spicy BBQ Sauce over the drumsticks, then close the lid and cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, 15-30 minutes more.
