Smoked Sangaree Cocktail

This cocktail has as much flavor as it does history. Cognac, port wine, smoked simple syrup and bitters come together for a rich, smooth sip.

Ingredients

2 OuncePaul Beau VSOP Cognac
1 OunceQuinta do Noval Black Port
1/4 Ouncesmoked simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)
3 DashAngostura bitters
orange twist spiked with one whole clove

Steps

  • Step 1

    Combine all ingredients together and stir with ice. Strain into a chilled coupe.

    Ingredients
    • 2 Ounce Paul Beau VSOP Cognac

    • 1 Ounce Quinta do Noval Black Port

    • 1/4 Ounce smoked simple syrup (homemade or store-bought)

    • 3 Dash Angostura bitters

  • Step 2

    Garnish with an orange twist spiked with one whole clove. Enjoy!
