1 1/2 Pound ground beef
1/2 Pound bulk Italian sausage
15 Pieces sliced pepperoni, finely diced
1/2 Cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 Tablespoon pizza sauce, plus more for serving
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 Teaspoon Italian seasoning
As Needed Olive oil, or softened butter
12 Slider Buns
8 Ounce fresh mozzarella, sliced, for serving
Lettuce, or arugula, for serving

Steps

  • 1

When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 350°F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire cooling rack on top of it. Set aside.

In a large bowl, add the ground beef, Italian sausage, pepperoni, Parmesan, 3 tablespoons of the pizza sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Using clean hands, mix until just combined.

  • 3

Divide the meat mixture into 12 portions and form into balls. Place the meatballs on the rack on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the cut sides of the buns with olive oil or softened butter.

  • 4

Place the baking sheet with the meatballs directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and bake until the internal temperature of the meatballs reach 160°F, 25-30 minutes.

  • 5

Place the buns cut-side down directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook until toasty and warm.

  • 6

Remove the meatballs and buns from the grill. Place a slice of mozzarella cheese on the bottom of each bun. Top with lettuce, then with a meatball. Spread the cut-side of the top of the bun with pizza sauce, if desired, and place on top of the meatball. Enjoy!
