Seasonal Filet Mignon

- filet mignon steaks
- 1 Teaspoon
- garlic powder
- 1 Teaspoon
- onion powder
- 1 Teaspoon
- kosher salt
- 1 Teaspoon
- black pepper

Steps
- Step 1 - When ready to cook, start the Traeger at 450°. Preheat, lid closed for 10-15 minutes. - 00:15 - 450 ˚F / 232 ˚C 
- Step 2 - Take the steaks out of the fridge and pat dry with a paper towel. Cut steaks into two 6 oz pieces. - Ingredients- 12 Ounce filet mignon steaks 
 
- Step 3 - Rub both sides of the steak with the garlic, onion, salt and pepper. - Ingredients- 1 Teaspoon garlic powder 
- 1 Teaspoon onion powder 
- 1 Teaspoon kosher salt 
- 1 Teaspoon black pepper 
 
- Step 4 - When the grill is ready, put the steaks on the outer rim of the grill to get the most direct heat to the steaks. Close the lid and wait 3-4 minutes before checking. - 00:04 - 450 ˚F / 232 ˚C 
- Step 5 - Flip the steaks once. Cook the steak to desired internal temperature on the one side without flipping it (135F for medium rare). - 450 ˚F / 232 ˚C - 135 ˚F / 57 ˚C 
- Step 6 - Pull the steaks and let rest for 5-10 minutes, this is key. Serve. Enjoy!
